[Announcement] Ping, Speed, and the Future of Bravora

Everyone, We would like to share some information regarding the ongoing discussions about ping, character movement, and the overall gameplay experience on Bravora.

Exordion is approaching its fourth year of existence. Throughout this time, we have been a project hosted exclusively in Brazil and have grown significantly that way. However, as the community expanded, so did the requests for us to take the project international.

We received constant feedback from Brazilian players who wanted new challenges, new teams to compete against, a larger market, and a broader reach for Exordion. At the same time, many foreign players were interested in the server but faced an almost impossible barrier: playing with 200~250ms ping or more.

It was within this context that Bravora was born.

Even knowing that our community would remain predominantly Brazilian, we decided to embrace this challenge and open Exordion to a wider audience. The results were positive: the participation of foreign players increased several times compared to what we had before, growing from approximately 2% to around 10% of the community. It is worth noting that we are referring mainly to European players.

Exordion is an extremely dynamic server. Characters reach high levels and achieve movement speeds far above the average of similar games. At lower levels, the difference between playing with 30ms and 100ms was not very noticeable. However, as characters progressed and the pace of the game increased, that difference began to directly impact movement, combat, and overall gameplay fluidity.

Additionally, recent changes related to bug map mechanics have made this perception even more noticeable.

We want to make it clear that we are not ignoring this issue. Quite the opposite.

Over the past few weeks, we have analyzed infrastructure, hardware, host location, client optimizations, and several other technical factors. At this time, we have not identified any significant hardware or infrastructure bottlenecks. The server is operating as expected.

We are also hosted in Miami, one of the best possible locations to balance the experience for both Brazilian and foreign players within the concept of a North American server. Unfortunately, this means there is currently no simple or immediate solution capable of completely eliminating this issue.

Moving the host back to Brazil would reduce latency for most Brazilian players, but it would force foreign players to face the exact same challenge that led to the creation of Bravora in the first place. This is a complex decision that must be handled responsibly.

What are we doing?

As a first step, we are already working on a revision of the character speed formula. This change is necessary regardless of the hosting situation. Currently, speed progression becomes too aggressive at higher levels, which amplifies the perception of latency and reduces room for future character progression.

Our goal is to make speed progression healthier and more sustainable in the long term. We believe this adjustment will significantly improve the feeling of movement fluidity while also providing important benefits for the overall balance of the server.

At the same time, we will continue evaluating alternatives related to infrastructure and hosting before making any impactful decisions. After this update, if necessary, more significant changes may be considered.

We understand that the community's concerns are legitimate, and we want everyone to know that we are closely monitoring this situation.

As we have done throughout these nearly four years, we will continue listening to our players, analyzing the results, and making decisions based on what is best for both the project and the community as a whole.

[Changelog] Boss Heal, Click Map & Items Protection

🔸 Boss Healing

A new healing spell has been added to all invasion bosses. The idea is simple:

  • The more players (and the higher their levels) are on the boss screen, the greater its regeneration will be. This system, called Proportional Heal, is still in its early stages and, at least for now, will not be too aggressive.

The goal is not to prevent bosses from being defeated, but rather to make the challenge last a bit longer. We noticed that some of the strongest bosses (both in Mainland and Rookgaard) were being defeated in only 3 minutes; Our initial expectation is to double this average combat duration. We will continue monitoring the results and making adjustments whenever necessary.

🔸 Click Map ("Bug Map")

We are talking about the traditional Tibia mechanic:

  • Right-clicking on the map to make your character automatically walk to the destination. However, this system allows characters to bypass obstacles with extreme ease, even in very adverse situations. The proposal is not to completely remove the mechanic, but rather to limit its excessive use:
  • After using the first "bug map", there will be a delay/exhaust before it can be used again;
  • This will still allow occasional use of the mechanic, but will prevent constant repetitive usage.

We know that changes to classic mechanics can always generate different opinions within the community However, sometimes we need to find ways to make the game more competitive, challenging, and fair for everyone We will continue paying attention to community feedback and make adjustments if necessary

🔸 Items Protection

Currently, all protections were added together and applied at once to the damage received; This allowed combinations that reached 100% protection, completely nullifying damage. This behavior was not healthy for the game's balance; Now, the calculation has been corrected to work properly:

  • Protections are now applied in cascade, one after another, always over the remaining damage

Example: SSA + Might Ring

  • Before:
    • 80% + 20% = 100%
    • Result: zero damage
  • Now:
    • 100 → reduces 80% = 20
    • 20 → reduces 20% = 16
    • Final damage: 16

This new calculation applies to:

  • Fixed item protections;
  • Guild Buffs.

The rarity system remains separate for now:

  • It is applied after the base calculation, also over the remaining damage.

Practical result:

  • The more protections you stack, the smaller the real gain of each additional layer becomes.
  • In practice, this represents a nerf to protections, but in a fair and healthy way for game balance.

🔸 Fixes & Adjustments

  • Fixed DG 180 monsters (elite versions) not being able to see invisible players.
  • Fixed the Crystal Spider corpse, which could not be moved during its first stage.
  • Fixed the Albino Dragon corpse, which remained as a container even after decaying.
  • Now, when a player dies and drops parts of their set (including backpack), if the items are locked, they will automatically be unlocked.
  • Updated Rookgaard NPCs to allow the trade of items that were missing.

📢 MERGE VOTING RESULTS & NEXT STEPS

First of all, we would like to thank everyone who participated in the vote.

We chose to create an in-game voting system instead of simply opening a Discord poll, aiming for a fairer and more representative way to reflect the active in-game community. We understand that the current system still has room for improvement, and we are already looking into ways to make it even more accurate and balanced for future votes.

Regarding the voting itself: we analyzed different level ranges to better understand the actual will of the community and avoid distortions. The results showed a more balanced dispute in lower/"more abusable" level ranges, while among higher-level players the "NO" vote prevailed more consistently.

Therefore, there will be no merge at this moment.

As we mentioned before, our intention has always been to listen to the community. There were considerable requests for a merge and, because of that, we decided to open a vote so that the decision could be based on the will of the players.

This does not mean the subject is permanently closed. The discussion may happen again in the future, but for now we believe it is time to observe, improve systems, and continue strengthening the existing worlds.

We would also like to share part of our vision for Exordion: we see Exordion as a game in expansion, with multiple healthy and active worlds — not a scenario where merges become the rule. Our goal is to continue growing, launch new worlds in the future, and offer more possibilities for players. If a merge truly makes sense someday and becomes the clear desire of the community, we will always remain open to it.

One of the paths we will also be studying is the possibility of world transfer, something frequently mentioned by many of you. We still need to evaluate its technical and economic feasibility, as well as implement the necessary systems, but it is definitely a topic we will carefully explore.

Meanwhile, our main focus continues to be content. We are working heavily on this and, soon, we will bring new hunts, maps, monsters, and also a new Daily Boss to the game.

[Poll] Aegis + Legacy Merge

We always strive to listen to the community in the most transparent and fair way possible. We know the topic of a "merge" generates different opinions, and that is exactly why we decided to open an official poll directly inside the game, allowing the players themselves to decide on this matter.

🗳️ Poll System

As mentioned in today's changelog, a new poll system has been implemented directly into the game. Each poll contains:

  • A specific topic;
  • Start and end dates;
  • Possible minimum level requirement.

When logging into a world with an active poll, a message will automatically be displayed. To access it, simply use: /poll

There you will be able to view the poll information, available options, and also change your vote if you wish. We decided to do this directly inside the game as a fairer way to hear active players from each server, avoiding external votes, spam, or participation from people who no longer play. Besides this current poll, the system may also be used in the future for other important community matters.

🔀 What is a Merge?

A merge is simply the union of two servers into one. In this case, Aegis and Legacy would become a single world, keeping the name Legacy. It is a process similar to the merge system used in Tibia. 100% of player progress would be preserved, including characters, items, depots, guilds, and all other information. Houses would lose their owners, with all items being automatically sent to the depot, and some technical adjustments may happen in specific cases, such as possible name conflicts. However, if the merge is approved, everything will be explained and organized in advance to ensure the smoothest process possible. We have also successfully performed a merge before, including the current Legacy itself.

📌 Motivation

Currently, we have 3 worlds running:

  • Bravora — opened on 03/11/2026
  • Aegis — opened on 08/11/2025
  • Legacy — opened on 08/24/2024

Our goal continues to be growing, releasing new content, and also launching new worlds in the future. We frequently receive requests from the community asking for a merge between Aegis and Legacy, mainly with the intention of creating a more populated world, strengthening the market, and increasing player interaction. To be transparent: the merge is not an urgent necessity for the team, nor is there any significant financial impact related to it. On the other hand, operationally it would help simplify some internal processes and the overall game management. But at the end of the day, what matters most to us is the community's opinion. We know there are players fully in favor of the merge and others completely against it, so we decided to leave this decision in the hands of the players themselves through the official poll.

Another topic we receive a lot of questions about is new content. Yes, we are organizing many things internally, bringing more people into the team, and recently we have already resumed releasing new content. We also have other content already well advanced and will continue working on it continuously.

🔸 Fluidity Improvements

  • In order to make gameplay smoother and more responsive, we removed a small delay that existed between some specific actions related to the use and use with system
  • Some situations that now feel faster and more natural:
    • Using a Magic Wall and opening a door right after
    • Using UH and going down a sewer
    • Using fluids and climbing stairs

🔸 Exordion Coins

  • Now, when using Exordion Coins, the entire stack will be consumed automatically at once
    • Example: if you have 10 coins in the stack, all 10 will be used instantly
  • We have also added a new Store purchase option with 100 Exordion Coins.

🔸 Item Adjustments

  • Arctic Quiver: Now grants +1 Distance

🔸 Special Fate Orb

  • It now displays a warning when the enchantment is already at the maximum level, preventing unnecessary orb waste

🔸 Rookgaard

  • Added 7 new houses in Rookgaard:
    • Southern Villa, located south of the island
  • The Ghoul cave in Rookgaard now has an additional exit

  • Fixed the dungeon timer (remaining time) that, in some cases, was not being calculated correctly
